Dane Jones is a product designer for Peak Design in the San Francisco Bay Area. After graduating from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a BS in Chemistry, he worked for several years in the cellular therapy and medicinal chemistry industries.
In 2014, he went back to school to pursue a career in product design...and eventually joined Peak Design's soft goods team in 2019. With experience in CAD/CAM, CNC, manual machining, injection molding, additive manufacturing, sewing/apparel design, and product rendering, Dane bridges the gap between hardgoods and softgoods skillsets.
His projects include several of Peak Design's Mobile mounts, hardware for Peak's upcoming bags, and most recently camera straps like Micro Clutch. When he is not designing products, his favorite activity is street photography.
